This six-day safari is guaranteed to provide you with unforgettable memories that you will cherish for a lifetime, as it includes excursions to three of Tanzania’s natural wonders. Tarangire is the first halt on the Northern Circuit, and it is renowned for its grandeur, diversity, and profusion of wildlife. Arusha is the starting point of your voyage. Next in line is Serengeti National Park, an unrivaled destination that is cherished by both tourists and wildlife. After spending two nights at the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, you would be compelled to remain. As you descend into the crater, you will have the opportunity to observe the crater’s numerous enthralling inhabitants.

Schedule

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) by a World Wild Africa Safari driver and driven to Gran Meliá Hotel in Arusha. From there, you will be briefed on your safari and have a restful night before beginning your adventure.

Depart after breakfast from Arusha for a two-hour journey to Tarangire National Park, where you'll pass through vibrant Tanzanian landscapes and observe Maasai herdsmen. Enjoy a safari drive amidst diverse wildlife including elephants, lions, zebras, and cheetahs, with opportunities to spot rare species like agama reptiles and secretary birds. Experience breathtaking views of the Tarangire River, baobab trees, and acacia woodlands, while enjoying a picnic lunch provided by the hotel. Afternoon explorations continue before heading to the cooler Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive at Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

A 3 ½-hour journey from Arusha to Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers an exhilarating safari experience amidst diverse wildlife. The park's stunning landscapes provide a breathtaking backdrop for wildlife encounters. Your amazing driver-guide provides insights into the park's rich flora and fauna, allowing you to capture memorable moments through photography. After a rewarding day, return to Meliá Serengeti Lodge for evening refreshments and relaxation.

Wake up to the unique experience of Serengeti mornings, immersed in the sights, sounds, and scents of Africa. Begin your day with a morning game drive guided by an expert driver after breakfast. Explore the Seronera River area and its distinctive kopjes, habitats for hyraxes, reptiles, leopards, and lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest and spend the afternoon observing wildlife, including the impressive Kori Bustard, the heaviest flying bird. Return to Meliá Serengeti Lodge for dinner and relaxation after your wildlife safari. Note: Hot air balloon safaris, starting at 05:00 if booked, include an African breakfast, fresh juice, a full-day game tour, and end with a Champagne toast.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, start your day with an exhilarating game drive in the Seronera area of Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife year-round. Gain insights into the park's ecosystem and conservation efforts with a visit to the Serengeti Visitor Center. Following lunch, continue your journey southeast towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the afternoon. Along the way, pass by the iconic Simba Kopjes and take a moment at Naabi Hill Gate to admire the expansive plains and gather information about the area. Arrive at Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp in the evening for a delicious dinner and a relaxing evening.

Departing at 6 a.m. after breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, surrounded by the lush Lerai Forest, ideal for observing elephants. Keep watch near the swamplands, known as the "Elephant Graveyard," where aging male elephants graze on soft grasses. The crater hosts a diverse array of wildlife, including 120 lions, 15,000 wildebeest, 9,000 zebras, 400 hyenas, 50 black rhinos, buffalo, serval cats, jackals, Thomson's gazelles, elands, hippos, and vibrant bird species like flamingos often spotted at Lake Magadi. After a morning safari drive, enjoy lunch at Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp.

Following lunch, embark on a 192 km journey back to Arusha, taking approximately 3 ½ hours. The safari concludes at 17:00 p.m. in Arusha, with dinner not included.
