You will have the opportunity to observe nearly every sizable animal in East Africa on a regular basis. The Serengeti is also the ideal location to witness the breathtaking wildebeest migration, which is why it is considered one of the most superior African safari destinations.
Schedule
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be greeted by a World Wild Africa Safari representative and driven to Ilboru Safari Lodge in Arusha, where you can unwind in a serene environment and prepare for your safari adventures. The lodge offers a tranquil setting with beautiful gardens, includes breakfast, and provides drinking water, while other meals and drinks are available at an additional cost.
After breakfast, you'll drive to Arusha National Park for a day of safari viewing drives and an escorted walking safari with an armed ranger. The park is a green gem and home to Mount Meru, Africa's fourth-highest mountain. You'll be amazed by the diverse landscapes, including the Meru and Ngurdoto Craters, grasslands, and the alkaline Momella Lakes. Spot wildlife such as buffalo, zebras, and elephants, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. After a fulfilling day, return to Ilboru Safari Lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you'll depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that runs through it. The park is known for its large elephant families, dense vegetation, and the river that attracts wildlife during the dry season. Look out for giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is also famous for its birdlife, boasting more breeding species than any other park on Earth. You'll spend two days exploring this rich ecosystem. Your accommodation for these nights will be at Lake Burunge Tented Lodge.

Early in the morning, depart on a guided cultural tour to visit the Hadzabe tribe near Lake Eyasi. Learn about their traditional lifestyle, including hunting and gathering techniques. Participate in a hunting demonstration and gather wild fruits and roots with them. Return to your lodge for brunch, then spend the afternoon exploring Lake Eyasi. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Eyasi Lodge, where you can reflect on the unique cultural experiences of the day.

The two-hour walking safari will take you to the waterfalls and the unique elephant caves, formed by elephants digging for mineral-rich soil. Choose to have a picnic lunch or a hot lunch at your accommodation. Relax in the lodge, then enjoy an evening coffee walk. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Endoro Lodge, where you can unwind after an adventurous day.
Begin your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continuing towards Serengeti National Park. En route, enjoy safari viewing opportunities as you traverse this UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its vast biosphere reserve. The Serengeti, one of Africa's oldest and largest national parks, is famed for its immense wildlife population and the remarkable annual migration of mammals. This park spans nearly 15,000 square kilometers, making it the second-largest in Tanzania, and is home to an unparalleled concentration of wild animals. Over the next few days, immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife, with all meals and accommodations provided at the luxurious Serengeti Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.
After an early breakfast, leave the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game viewing along the way. Consider a visit to Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where early human fossils were discovered by the Leakey family. This gorge, part of a World Heritage Site, offers insights into human evolution and is especially fascinating for its extensive fossil records. From December to March, witness the wildebeest migration in the Ndutu area, with February to mid-March being the prime calving season. Following a packed lunch, continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.
Begin your day with an early breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is almost 600 meters deep. Known for its geological wonders and dense populations of large mammals, the crater floor is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species, with the possibility of spotting the endangered black rhino and lion prides. After a thrilling game drive and lunch within the crater, head to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Arusha and visit a Maasai village in Ngare Nanyuki. Engage in activities such as spear-throwing competitions, nature walks, and donkey rides with the Maasai, providing an immersive cultural experience. Enjoy a traditional hot lunch featuring local African cuisine. Spend the afternoon exploring the community and its customs before retiring to your room for dinner and an overnight stay at Africa Amini Lodge, a mid-range lodge near Arusha.
Enjoy breakfast and lunch before heading to the airport for your departure. Whether you're flying back home or continuing your adventure to Zanzibar, ensure all travel arrangements align with your flight schedule. This marks the end of your tour, with breakfast, lunch, and drinking water provided, though dinner and other drinks are not included.
