Overview
Imagine seeing the gorgeous Serengeti from a completely different perspective, with no roads to follow and pure freedom as the main experience of the day. This hot air balloon journey over the Serengeti includes a scrumptious bush breakfast upon landing. This unique journey is available as an addition to any private safari, including Serengeti National Park. The package includes an additional day and night at the park.
Early Morning Departure
Depart from your lodge in Serengeti National Park early in the morning, just before sunrise. A small breakfast can be offered beforehand, and coffee, tea, and juice are available at the hot air balloon take-off site.
Pre-flight Briefing
The captain will provide all necessary information about the journey, including takeoff, landing, and safety instructions. Preparations to launch the balloon will take place in the background.
Hot Air Balloon Flight
Enjoy roughly an hour-long flight over the Serengeti, depending on wind speed. This flight offers a unique view of the Serengeti’s endless grasslands, providing a sense of freedom and breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife and scenery below.
Post-landing Celebration and Bush Breakfast
After landing, enjoy champagne and juice before being transported to the brunch spot. A substantial and diverse fresh breakfast will be served in the heart of the bush, allowing you to relish your meal while immersed in the natural splendor of the Serengeti.
Day of Leisure
Spend the remainder of the day game driving, relaxing at your lodge, or both. The flexibility of the day allows you to reflect on your incredible balloon flight experience.
Safety and Comfort
Flying in a hot air balloon is a relaxing and calm experience, similar to looking out of an aircraft window or standing on a balcony with a strong handrail. While the landing might be a bit rough, the overall experience is peaceful.

Schedule
To leave just before sunrise, you will depart from your Serengeti National Park hotel in the early morning. At the hot air balloon takeoff location, coffee, tea, and juice will be provided, and a light breakfast can be prepared ahead of time if preferred. The captain will brief you with all necessary information, including details on takeoff and landing, flight duration, and other important facts to ensure you are well-prepared for your journey.

- Balloon Safari, Concession fees, Accommodation, All park entry fees, 18% VAT on tour fees and Service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person Adult (Above 16yrs) $599, Child (7-16yrs) $545. {Central All year round, Western 15th May - 30th Oct, and North 15th June - 15th Jan} Daily launch at dawn (6:30am) returning approx. 9:45am.
- 1 night accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you (the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Standard lodge/tented Camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).

- Any other accommodation than the one mentioned above
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your balloon safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Transport to and from Serengeti National Park. This package can only be booked as an extension to another (private) safari that provides transport to Serengeti National Park.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge: A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
