Dinner will be served at Hotel Tembo House, and you are free to enjoy the evening at your leisure. Take this opportunity to explore the vibrant streets, enjoy the local culture, or simply relax and soak in the enchanting atmosphere of Stone Town.
Relax and enjoy a day of leisure at your Stone Town hotel after breakfast. You have the option of cooling off in the hotel pool or taking a dip in the adjacent ocean. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore the vibrant streets and historical sites of Stone Town. Today is dedicated to relaxation, with your hotel providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Accommodation is at Tembo House Hotel, ensuring you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with all meals included.
This morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before joining our knowledgeable local guide for a tour of the captivating Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stone Town reflects the diverse cultural influences that have shaped Zanzibar over the centuries. Your guide will first take you to the colorful market, bustling with locals bartering and filled with exotic scents. Next, explore the 19th-century cathedral, built on the site of the slave market after slavery was abolished in 1873. As you wander the narrow streets, you'll see Arab residences with heavy doors concealing inner courtyards, and Indian residences adorned with metal railings and balustrades. Key historic sites include the 'Tip Tip House,' the Old Fort, and the People's Palace Museum. Lunch will be at the Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant, offering a panoramic ocean view and exceptional cuisine. After lunch, we will ensure your secure return to the airport for your flight. Breakfast will be at your Stone Town hotel, and lunch at the Silk Route Indian restaurant (note: access involves an extensive staircase).
